VSO Sri Lanka and APCD organized a Workshop for Sharing Experiences on CBR in Sri Lanka and Thailand on 14 May 2004 at the APCD meeting room. Eighteen participants from local NGOs, GOs and VSO volunteers actively working in CBR in Sri Lanka attended this workshop. This visit to Thailand from 9 to 14 May 2004 was one activity which VSO Sri Lanka conducted to learn more about the CBR situation in Thailand.
The APCD Director opened the workshop and gave an overview of APCD's mission. The coordinator of the LINKS program, a network program between Governmental and Non- Governmental Organizations that is working on CBR in Sri Lanka, shared the objectives and activities of their program and the situation of CBR in Sri Lanka.

Mr. Somchai, APCD HRD Program Advisor also shared about the CBR movement in Thailand, followed by the group sharing lessons learned on the field visit, facilitated by Ms. Catherine Mole, Project Officer of VSO Sri Lanka.
